The star of the Festival for me was meeting Loreena Mckennitt and seeing her perform live on stage.
Her music has meant a lot to me over the past few years since I discovered her; it feels deeply spiritual to me and she puts her whole self into it - as she said as I talked to her. Indeed it doesn't need words, the singer exudes love. Love, gentleness and caring; may I too communicate this to those I meet and interact with.
She sings a wonderful arrangement she has composed to 'The Lady of Shallott', a wonderfully colourful and descriptive poem of the days of the knights at Camelot. I have loved it for years and it is deeply allegorical. I feel a paper emerging on what I see as the meaning for me/us contained within it.
