On the way, I was speculative, but also a bit afraid that the week wouldn't live up to the expectations I knew I was forming about it. I travelled over by car - with my Reiki table in the back. The sun was shining and I stopped by Stonehenge - just to look in through the perimeter fence and take some photos. Lovely, and I thought of when I would see it next and felt a stirring of anticipation or maybe excitement.
I arrived in Glastonbury early afternoon and found somewhere to leave the car so I could get a drink. Tea was so cheap there - not like Sussex! I visited the Abbey and walked round the grounds - some of it barefoot and did a Reiki moving meditation underneath a big tree at the top of the grounds. Somehow that felt okay there, I probably wouldn't do it at home. Funnily enough I met a lovely Irish woman and exchanged a few words with her - she was on my course the next day!
I spent a bit more time in the Chalice Well gardens - so lovely and both peaceful and powerful both at the same time. Then it was time to check in at the Daisy Centre Retreat and I got a car parking space just outside - thanks to Petunia my parking fairy!
In the evening I bumped in to Tina, quite by accident and we went to the Tor together to watch the sunset. We climbed up the steep side and froze together at the top, but we had fun.
So that was day one.
